“Faith Communities in the Midst of the Dream: The Time is Now”

The public is invited to join us for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. Noon, sponsored by the Kentucky Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church Commission on Religion and Race.

The service will take place at Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church located at 9800 Westport Road, Rev. Rob Tuck, Pastor.

Our theme is “Faith Communities in the Midst of the Dream: The Time is Now.” Bishop Leonard Fairley, Episcopal Leader of the Kentucky Conference of The United Methodist Church will be the speaker.

“Assist – a – Soul” will be our outreach project, donations of winter coverings for the homeless. Please bring hats, gloves, scarfs, etc. to share in this project and bless someone during this winter season. Items will be given to a local shelter.

All are invited for a time of celebration and recognition for this drum major of justice. A reception will follow the celebration.  

Co-sponsors are Strengthening the Black Church of the 21st Century and Ethnic Local Church Concerns.
