Apportionments

          Although a new church will be receiving funding from the Annual Conference, it is important to establish a sense of stewardship and connectionalism from the very beginning.   A new church should consider paying at least 1% of its income (‘full’ amount or fair share is 13-15%) during the first year after its establishment as a Mission Congregation.  During the following years, the Conference apportionment percentage should be increased until the fully apportioned Conference rate is achieved.  A commitment to a full apportionment PLAN must be made before a Chartering Charge Conference will be held.
